Impressions of Mendoza, Argentina...





~delicious Trapiche Malbec wine (try to find this one... yummy)
~helpful, happy, hardworking, friendly people
~beautiful rivers, mountains
~delicious tasting vegetables & fruits
~steaks and vino to die for
~mom-dad-small child transport= small motorcycle
~lots of folks riding bicycles
~clean streets, parks, tree-lined streets
~people enjoying the moment.. yup, that's us!
~3-5p.m. siesta--- surroundings--- oh, so quiet in the neighborhood
~grocery shopping on a Sat. is crazy. Stores are closed on Sun!
~banks open from 9a.m. to 1p.m. Mon.-Fri.
~people eat dinner later in the evening... 10p.m.! (oh-no! We're used to Rio Verde's HBT (horizontal by ten)
~wine-tasting at Vendimia again tonight.... more reports tomorrow!

P.S. Having our own condo (vrbo.com) is awesome. It's close to everything, yet
so quiet and home-like. We're two happy campers.

  2. You realize that "fond de cave" means "bottom of the cellar" ?

    Think I've found a reasonably-priced tour (through a radio program this afternoon on travelling to Argentina-must be fate !). Am super excited - can't wait to call the company in the morning !
