Waikawa Bay... Queen Charlotte Sound, S. Island., NZ

After settling into our hotel on the bay, we took a short walk to the Waikawa Marina and had a terrific dinner along with a great view of the marina and bay. Bob loved the fresh caught local fish (Dory), I enjoyed the rack of lamb and Julie feasted on a delicious steak. Bob and I mostly stick with the fresh fish of the day, as we love fish. It's not too hard to find great food here.

So far, we've had some sumptuous meals in NZ. The Thai and Indian food in Rotorua was extra special! The fish, lamb and scallops in Whakatane were topnotch. We have no complaints about the food. Yummy!

Yesterday morning, we enjoyed our patio--- the views of Queen Charlotte Sound, the quiet (we keep commenting on this as it is super quiet here) of the nearby mountains and bay, and the fresh air were a treat to stop and enjoy. We hung out on our patio all morning.
