After our 3 months in New Zealand, we traveled back to AZ for 5 days. Many thanks to our longtime friends Merideth and Jack for hosting us! It was a wonderful way to spend time in our neighborhood. Since our house is rented, they invited us to stay with them. Nice!
From AZ, we traveled to Cancun, Mexico for our nephew's wedding at the Now Sapphire Resort.

"You may kiss the bride."
We're getting ahead of ourselves with this photo, but love and happiness and joy should be posted first! |
Opportunities
Whenever you have an opportunity to laugh, laugh;
whenever you have an opportunity to dance, dance;
whenever you have an opportunity to sing, sing
and one day you will find you have created your paradise.

| Now Sapphire Resort was an ideal spot to have a wedding! |
Weddings are always wonderful, but this one was extra-special. Our nephew and his fiancée had waited for a long time to find the right person to marry and this was their opportunity for sharing joy and love with many family members and their friends. Most of the wedding party and attendees were from the Midwest. An opportunity to get out of the winter snow and cold was also welcomed. The sunny days, warm weather and beauty of a resort atmosphere put everyone in the mood to party. And party we did! Opportunities for days of laughter, dancing and singing abounded!

| It was nice spending time with my brother and sister-in-law. |
 |
| Uncle Bob and Rachel hanging out at the beach. |
 |
| A broken-down pier made a nice place for seabirds to hang out. |
 |
At a resort wedding, lots of time is spent meeting and greeting and enjoying.
To us, this was the best part of a destination wedding; heaps of time spent together.
There's nothing like a wedding party that lasts for days! Everyone had a blast. |
 |
Every wedding guest received a beautiful bag of very welcome and necessary gifts.
What a great idea! |
 |
| Included in the bag was this thoughtful itinerary and explanation of gifts. |
 |
| Trevor and Rachel hosted an outdoor B-B-Q the night before the wedding. |
 |
| Unfortunately, the ominous clouds in the background eventually ruined the outdoor event. |
 |
Such a pretty setting that was not to be.
|
 |
But not to worry; the party was promptly moved indoors. Nothing was ruined… all was beautiful
for the perfect "night before the wedding" party. |
 |
Aunt Mary and Uncle Bob and the whole family are thrilled to have Rachel be a part of our family.
L to R: Niece Nikki and her brother Trevor, their mom Jan with Rachel, my brother Gene
and his grandson Joe (Nikki's son). Front and center… "you know who" in their pink and orange wedding colors!
Wedding Day! |
 |
| The wedding colors were orange and pink. Gorgeous! |
 |
The groom's parents, my brother and sister-in-law all decked out in their wedding finery.
Looking good and oh-so stylish! |
 |
| Happiness is… a perfect day for Trevor and Rachel's wedding! |
 |
| Rachel's grandmother was the life of the party and oh-so happy to be in Mexico for the wedding. |
Wedding Setting: Perfecto!
 |
Tearful mother of the bride.
|
 |
| Watching his bride come down the isle… his expression is priceless. |
 |
| In love! |
Oh Happy Day...
 |
"Do you Trevor, take Rachel to be …?"
Wow! Rachel's wedding dress is awesome!

Mr. and Mrs.

It's official!
One of 3 wedding photographers making sure to get the signing
of the papers up close and personal. |
 |
Bare-footing on the beach for after-wedding photos and the "Hip-Hip-Hip Hooray" toasting to the happy couple!
The celebrations continued on through the night with opportunities for delicious dining, exuberant dancing, and lively discussions. All in all, this was a perfect wedding with many opportunities for laughter, dancing and singing.
The joy of the whole time will stay with us forever. Paradise is hard to top!
Sharing these memories with my blog readers, my friends and my family is pure joy too.
Life is so good!
Cheers for now,
