Zoom, Zoom, Zoom... Wanaka, New Zealand

We are ending our NZ adventure on a high note------ a very HIGH note. We went flying over and around Mt. Aspiring National Park and Mt. Aspiring yesterday. Peter,(who we rent our apt. from and who owns a flying company and the planes) send us up with his trusty sidekick, Ivan. Peter was busy flying sky jumpers up all day, so he couldn't take us. We flew out of the Wanaka Airport.

What a day! What a way to see rocks up close and personal! We even saw Mt. Cook in the distance. Bob even got to fly the plane! It was magical.

This morning, Bob went flying again! He went out in Peter's Tiger Moth (vintage plane). They flew over the house and it was great to stand on the deck and watch them wave to me from the open cockpit. I'll upload the pictures tomorrow when we are in Queenstown.

We leave in the morning for Queenstown. After one night there, we fly out to Auckland. We'll spend two nights in Auckland and on April 2nd., we fly back to the US. I hope to do at least 2 more blogs before we depart.
