Today was our first day of fall-like weather. It was cool and very windy. We put on layers and headed up the street from our vrbo condo to rent a car. Renting a car for the day was the perfect answer to getting to see Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi. We rented a little Chevy, stick shift. It took us on the wonderful Circuito Chico, Bariloche's popular excursion to the beautiful Peninsula Llao Llao and other picturesque areas. We stopped in to see the famous Hotel Llao Llao and its golf course... wow! It is something to see. You can stay there for $300 a night. Along the way we stopped many times to take pictures of the awesome scenes. We found a micro-brew restaurant for lunch. Bob enjoyed ciervo (deer) ravioli and I had a plate of salad and cold meats. The brews were great and the food delicious. Northern Patagonia is known for it's deer, wild boar (think javelina!) and trout. So far we've sampled all except the boar. We have one more day here and then we fly to Buenos Aires. We decided that a 22 hour bus ride wasn't necessary, so we're flying on LAN. After a short 3 day stay in BA, we take a boat to Uruguay and will spend a month at our vrbo condo. Adios, Maria&Roberto

Enlarged the pic of the hotel - great feathery plants in front and sharp craggy peaks behind. The pic of the two of you is good - Roberto looks as though he feels fine on that deer ravioli.
ReplyDeleteYour photos of Bariloche mountains and lakes are so appealing. My mouth waters when you describe the food you're eating. The feathery plants in the foreground of the fancy hotel are wonderful. And I love the quotes...especially the "love your crooked neighbor with your crooked little heart". Adelante!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos!!! I can't wait to hear about Uruguay! Buen Viaje y toma un vino tinto para mi! Les extrano y besos y abrazos!!!
ReplyDeleteOh love the scenery.
ReplyDeleteYou both look great and happy. Bob looks good with his hair growing in on head.
