We discovered this great little wine store the first week we were here. The owners are especially sweet and kind to us. We get to sample the wine we want to buy. She makes her own fruit wine, but it's a little too sweet for our taste buds. We do buy their jug wine. We get this huge jug of wine for $8.00. You return the jug for refilling. They speak as much English as we do Spanish, but when you're speaking the language of wine, it all translates! We enjoy going in there because they get enormous smiles on their faces when they see us coming through the door and they are ready and willing to help us.
When we were in Argentina, touring the wineries,our guide told us that we'll like the wine in Uruguay. She said that it's as good as Argentine wine, it's just not imported much. We find it quite nice. Don't know if you'll be able to find any, but it's worth the search.
Vino blanco, vino tinto? What's your favorite? We like both.

You aren't kidding - that's quite a wine jug! How often are you getting it filled??? The ladies do seem really glad to see the gringos.
