Happy New Year for real! I'm looking at the clock on my computer and AZ just began the New Year. We, of course, celebrated last night. Gordon and Bob fired up the barbie and we had mixed grill, mango salsa, chick pea salad and some nice wine. We are in Victoria, our third Australian state. We're about 300km southwest from Melbourne, in the bush. Gordan and Julie have 25 acres just down the road from the thriving metropolis of Briagolong (1 pub, 1 cafe, 1 new (one month old) used book store, and a post office/general store. Gordon teaches maths down the road in Sale and Julie drives the bus for the Briagolong elementary school and is on the Briag volunteer fire brigade. She got called out just before dinner New Year's eve... a left campfire at the local quarry... not a big deal compared to what they dealt with last year during their horrible fires. Gordan and Bob taught together 37 years ago in Sale at the local high school. Bob taught American History. Oops, two bars on the wifi, I'm out of her!
