Oops!

Arrived Santiago! Busy, busy bus station.

A CATA bus will take us over the Andes tomorrow (Tues. Feb. 8).

A little wire and plastic will get you a cute bike.

Nice man. He makes a few $$ designing plastic & wire trinkets for tourists.

We have never seen beer served this way before. Yikes!

On a Sunday in Santiago, you'll see lots of bicyclists and little traffic.

Santiago is full of statues and monuments. Parks are everywhere, giving the people living in high rises a place to hang out on a lovely Sunday.

The police are happy to have a horse lover greet their horses.

Families shopping for treasures for their kids outside of the zoo.

Recycle, reduce and reuse!

Well... you probably noticed that my last blog did not have any pictures. When I started to upload, a message appeared that I was out of space and needed to buy! more space from Google. I didn't realize that Google had "given" me free space for the past 3 years of blogging. I've used it all up and for a nominal fee of $5.00 a year, I get more GBs. I was too tired (watching the Super Bowl up to midnight) to stay on the computer and buy more space so I just did it a few minutes ago after eating breakfast. But, I have to wait for 24 hours before it becomes effective, so no pictures. Who knew? It makes sense that Google would figure out a way to make a free blog not really free. That's their business.

We are going out to dinner tonight with new friends we met at the hotel yesterday and getting up very early to catch our bus over the Andes (23 switchbacks on the Chilean side!) to Mendoza, Argentina so I doubt that I'll get the Santiago pictures on the blog until Wed.
Sorry about that.
P.S. Decided to check and see if my new Google photo space got there before the 24 hours of waiting and sure enough there it was PRONTO!

  2. Hi Mar,
Glad to see Bob is still making friends with the horses. Yes, I reached my photo limit with Google about 6 months ago. We're in Denver - sun is shining but there is snow on the ground.
