People...

I know that I used this quote before on the blog, but it is so true and we keep being welcomed by many kind, sweet, very helpful people in South America. Without the Spanish language to help us, we do rely on the locals to guide us when we need to make reservations or find our way.

However, we find that people go out of their way to help you and want to make you feel welcome. It is a wonderful feeling and we'll never forget all the people we have met along the way who have been so kind to us. Thank you all!

We especially want to thank Eduadro in the Lan airline office in Santiago. The Andesmar lady at the bus station in Mendoza. The Lan man in the Mendoza office who helped us with directions to a different airline office when he couldn't help us get our tickets with his company. The couple from Chile who guided us to the museum in Mendoza when we were lost. And especially to Marcela who was Bob's seat partner on the bus ride over the Andes. She gave him Spanish lessons the whole way! A special thank you goes out to Roxana and Marielana at the Andesmar bus office in Mendoza. Keep studying your English Roxana and email me soon. You girls are wonder workers! Also, thanks to Roxana's friend who helps her with her English and stayed in the office that day just in case he could be of help to us.
