I could not, at my age, be content to take my place by the fireside and simply look on. Life is meant to be lived! Curiosity must be kept alive. -Eleanor Roosevelt

Happy Holidays 2015

                                 From Wanaka, New Zealand

We have been in Wanaka almost a fortnight.
                                Magic has already occurred!

Pete the Pilot and Santa Bob created a little magic for the kids of Wanaka.
                              Santa Sunday
Our friends Pete and Julie own Classic Flights in Wanaka.
They asked Bob to be Santa for their annual Santa Sunday.
Santa and his elves relaxed before their flight.
Elves in the Tiger Moths and Santa in the Waco.
Who is more excited?
The kids waiting for Santa?
Or Santa and his elves?
(Mrs. Claus knows that Santa is super-excited to be flying in the Waco!)
The Waco.
Our friend Pete is the pilot.
Will Santa fit?

It's a bird.
 It's a plane.
It's a Waco!
It's 2 Tiger Moths.
It's Santa and his elves flying into Wanaka!
It was a tight squeeze, but he made it in and out of the Waco
with a little help from Pete!
The airplanes landed safely and the fire truck
came to help deliver Santa and the elves to the nearby children.
Ho! Ho! Ho!
Will the kids notice Santa's American accent?
Santa needed a little help getting in and out of the modern vehicles.

Yippie!
It's Santa and the elves.
The crowd went wild!

"It's as though his little sack of lollies was filled with immense goodies that we call humanity."    -- quote from the Otago Daily Times newspaper

Santa and the elves greet the crowd.
Parents, grandparents and friends of the children were all brought together for the joy of childhood. It was a gathering of humanity.
                                    What is humanity?

It's hundreds of happy people enjoying a beautiful day.

It's people spending time together. It's laughter.

It's believing in the magic.

It's being present and savoring the moment.

It's the simple pleasure of Christmas and the magic that Santa brings.

No one seemed to mind that Santa sported his sunglasses or that his beard kept falling off.

Amen for Humanity.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus!
wish you a very...

P.S.

Santa made the front page of the Wanaka Sun!
Here he is explaining why he left his sled and the reindeer at home.
They were resting up for the big day!

Merry Merry to all our blog readers,
Santa Bob and Mrs. Claus
