Last Day on The Great Ocean Road... Victoria, Australia

Happy Australia Day! (like our 4th. of July)...

Today we drove from our sleepy little harbor town of Port Campbell to another pretty town, Port Fairy. It's our last day on the Great Ocean Road. Our scenic stops of intriguing limestone rocks included The Arch, London Bridge and The Grotto. We also went to Tower Rd. Wildlife area to spot some kangaroos, but they weren't out yet. We did spy an emu and a bandicoot (but it was too far away for a pic). We got a lot of walking in at each stop. It was another beautiful day with temps in the 70s. The little echidna tried crossing the road in front of our car. We stopped and it took off!

At one of the stops, we met up with Herve Leduc, a Frenchman who has been riding his bicycle (well, he's already gone through 2 bikes!) around the world. He started in 2004! He's 47 years old and has visited 32 countries. He leaves Oz next week for New Zealand, so we're hoping to bump into him again. From NZ, he's off to Japan and then to Africa. His story is amazing and inspiring. We could have talked to him for hours. If you are interested in learning more about him, his website is: http://hleduc.tdmvelo.free.fr.
