Dubai... The End

We left Dubai last night. Had a smooth sailing all night. At the moment, we are sitting in a hotel lobby in Fujairah, UAE. Our ship landed this am. We took the shuttle into town and are using the internet. Not much to see or do in F, so we're using our time to walk a bit and do the blog. We're looking forward to Thanksgiving dinner on the ship tonight! The first photos are from the Dubai Mall. The last two of Fujairah.
The Dubai mall is the largest mall in the world and it's situated next to the largest (tallest) building in the world. Seems as though most everything in Dubai is the biggest, tallest, shiniest, brightest, and or... most luxurious. Dubai is about sparkle, bling---- consumerism. There are endless skyscrapers and many many more being built.

What can you do at the Dubai Mall besides shop?--- ice skate, people watch, buy gold at the souq, visit an aquarium, see the tallest building in the world, and/or stare at all the candy in the biggest candy store ever!
If you miss any days on the blog, scroll to the bottom and click on past blogs. Also, enlarge any picture by clicking on it. Enjoy, Mary and Bob

Even the ATMs are stylish.

I spy Mary's car in the UAE!

  1. Hi Mar, Visiting you on Thanksgiving Day and hoping Bob gets his turkey, stuffing, and desserts. Can't believe there is another mall bigger than the one we visited in MN. Remember that I bought a Times there - did Bob get his Rolex? Our nephew, Mitch, lived and taught in Dubai for a year. Did you see the indoor ski hill? We had A, B, J all this week to ski - returned them yesterday afternoon. I was so pooped I slept from 7PM until 6AM! Soon leaving to go to Evergreen for dinner. Stay safe and well - I think of you daily.
