I could not, at my age, be content to take my place by the fireside and simply look on. Life is meant to be lived! Curiosity must be kept alive. -Eleanor Roosevelt

Buenos Aires... Argentina

We arrived in BA by Buquebus (boat/bus) last night about 10:30. We crashed at our hotel. After a good breakfast at the Holiday Inn Express, we took a city bus to an area of BA called Recoleta. The Cementerio de la Recolata is the final resting place of some of this country's most influential people. Evita's tomb is visited by many, but the entire place holds a lot of the history of this country. You could get lost in there. It began in 1822 as a place for everyday citizens of Argentina to be put to rest, but has evolved into the tombs of presidents, politicians, educators, writers and artists.

After our excursion to the cemetery, we had our last delicious (muy rico) grass-fed steak lunch. After that, we went to the most beautiful bookstore I've ever seen. They converted a gorgeous old theater into a bookstore. Wow!

Beth had some shopping to do, so Bob and I walked back to the hotel, stopping for our last ice cream. We also bought a stunning map of the world that is quite unusual.

Never stop exploring,
Mary and Bob
