Welcome to Costa Rica Day 1-2

The moment we set foot in the country, we felt welcome. Every person we met from our taxi driver who only spoke a few words of English to our Adventure Inn Hotel people were more than helpful and kind and spent moments to make us feel welcome. Mr. Carlos carried our bags to our room, got us 2 cervazas and 2 bottles of water and said in Spanish that it would be $8.00. We gave him a ten dollar bill and told him to keep the change. His ear to ear smile was the best thanks you could ever get.

We flew from Phoenix to Houston to San Jose, Costa Rica on Dec. 1st. After one night in SJ, we took a van/bus to our vrbo vacation rental by owner in the Cloud/Rain Forest of Monteverde. We are near the small town of Santa Elena. Let the adventures begin!

Sorry, no pictures today. I forgot to bring the camera cord. I'm on an old computer and you can't put the disc in. Our vrbo is nowhere! We are definitely Off The Beaten Path. We are loving it. Our 5K walk into town on a narrow dirt rocky road gave us an appetite. We are blogging at a real Rain Forest Cafe.
Adios
P.S. Tonight is a live band at Das Gringos Bar. We'll be dancing. ~!(:   )
