Mele Kalikimaka! (Merry Christmas)

Hawaii Blog #3
Hawaiian bouquet that we saw at a restaurant. Most of these grow in our condo development!
We brought our stockings inside to keep them dry!

Dear Blog Followers,
We are finally getting some rain. After 3 weeks of mainly sunshine, today and yesterday's weather gave us blustery, rainy, windy conditions. We hear the waves smashing and pounding against the coral reef and onto the cliffs outside of our condo. Time to blog!

This blog will show you a few of the fun activities we've been up to these past 3 weeks.
On our sunny days, we always start the day by sitting outside enjoying the sunrise with our cup of coffee.
 And… watching for whales.

And… taking in the gorgeous view and getting some Vitamin D3.

We have been having a good time exploring the northern part of the island where we're located. We also go to the eastern part (Kapaa and Lihue) every now and then as that's where Bob's golfing mostly takes place.
Found this charming shop in Hanalei, just down the road from Princeville.
The young men roasting and tossing the nuts with
delicious mixes work right behind that window.
If I worked there, I'd be having a taste test every now and then.
Oh goodie, goodie! The customers get to taste test too!
Oh yummy! Oh so many choices.

Definitely bought these. Very delicious!

Curry is a must. Bought these too!
Will go back sometime and try buy some other flavors.
Macadamias are good for you.

Did you know? ...Although ounce for ounce they’re one of the most calorie-dense nuts, macadamia nuts contain the greatest amount of heart-healthy monounsaturated fat (MUFA) per serving. One study found that people who added macadamia nuts to their diets reduced their triglyceride levels, total cholesterol, and LDL cholesterol by nearly 10 percent.

Found these delectables at the local grocery store. Bought the tea, but not the nuts as we had been to the nut roasters the day before.
Caught the sunsetting over the mountains from just behind our condo.
Took this shot from the parking lot.
Merry Merry,
Mary and Bob
